From 22nd to 26th of October 2018 the Resident Course “12000” was conducted at NMIOTC premises. This “NATO Approved” Course fills an operational gap in capability and, most importantly, contributes to counter-threat operations conducted by Boarding Teams when searching for securing, exploiting evidence or gathering materials for analysis, which are fundamental to the counter-threat process. The aim was to educate and train international Boarding Team personnel in NATO TTPs (Tactics, Technics, Procedures) to undertake expedient weapons intelligence tasks on board vessels and other maritime infrastructure in support of C-IED operations, focusing on the Attack the Network (AtN) C-IED main line of effort.

In total, 25 trainees coming from 11 countries (Egypt, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, Portugal, Qatar, Romania and United Arab Emirates) attended the course.
