Enrollment Instructions

Participants are kindly requested to submit their Personnel Administration Form (PAF) through NMIOTC official web site www.nmiotc.nato.int and in accordance with each event’s Invitation Letter within the given deadlines. Applications submitted after the specified deadlines may not be accepted. All applicants will receive an instant confirmation message. However, the final confirmation will be provided after the process and acceptance of the application.

Although each accepted applicant will receive detailed Joining Instructions 15 days prior the starting day of the event, the following information is provided for a better trip preparation:

Visa Requirement: Participants or their national authorities are responsible for visa arrangements (if needed). Participants are advised to contact well in advance, proper diplomatic agencies for up to date information. It is the individual’s responsibility to obtain his/her visa and to have the proper travel / medical documentation. Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs website (www.mfa.gr) provides relevant visa information. NMIOTC will provide a Visa Support Letter, if requested.  Greece does not require participants to complete the ‘Request for Visit’ procedure.

Security Instructions: NMIOTC adheres to the NATO security standards. There is a strict access control to enter Marathi main gate and NMIOTC main building. You will be required to carry your passport and/or your national identification card during your presence to NMIOTC. A security badge will be delivered to you during the in-processing. This security badge is to be carried throughout the meeting and social events.

Medical service: First aid and emergency medical support is offered by NMIOTC paramedic and local Naval Hospital.  However, for all other situations, medical expenses must be paid by the individuals or their insurance agencies. All participants are strongly advised to have appropriate medical insurance.

Tuition payment: The fees include daily transportation from Chania city center to NMIOTC and vice versa during the course days. Full payment for tuition must be made either to NMIOTC’s Financial Officer on the first day of the course in cash, by credit card or by bank deposit to NMIOTC bank account with the following data:

Note: Bank deposit must be completed no later than 3 working days before the start date of the event. The relevant document with proper justification must be e-mailed to NMIOTC Budget & Finance Officer at kleinakisd@nmiotc.nato.int. NMIOTC will cover only the expense that the National Bank of Greece may charge for transactions and not potential charges of other banks.
