Defence Planning Practitioners Forum (DPPF) at NMIOTC

From 14th to 15th of May, 2025, NMIOTC hosted ACT’s Defence Planning Practitioners Forum (DPPF) at its premises in Marathi, Souda Bay. The DPPF replaces the previously held Multinational Solutions Conference and is a newly ACT established initiative to provide participants an annual forum to connect, share expertise, solve problems and build a collaborative network to support the planning and execution of NATO Defence Planning Process (NDPP) cycles. Course 27000 “Maritime Sniper Course”

From 5th to 16th May 2025, the NMIOTC Maritime Sniper Course was conducted at the Centre’s premises and in the broader area of Chania, Crete. NMIOTC in SOMA 2025

NMIOTC participated in the Special Operations Medical Association (SOMA) Scientific Assembly 2025 in Raleigh, North Carolina USA, with a keynote presentation delivered by Chief Petty Officer Apostolos Lazaridis, Lead Medical Instructor and Course Director at NMIOTC. His presentation focused on the operational realities and unique challenges of applying Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) in the maritime domain — an environment where physics, weather, and confined spaces demand tailored solutions and high adaptability. NMIOTC Coordinating Board 2025

On 6th and 7th May, 2025, the ΝΜΙΟΤC Coordinating Board (NCB) was convened at the Centre’s premises, chaired by the Director of Education and Training Directorate of the Hellenic Navy General Staff and co-chaired by a representative from HQ SACT. A designated representative from ACO, as well as the NMIOTC Deputy Commandant and the NMIOTC Chief of Staff also participated as members of the Board. The NCB coordinates and provides advice on the Centre’s Program of Work (PoW) and on long-term matters regarding NMIOTC’s mission. NATO Enterprise Cybersecurity Conference hosted at NMIOTC

From 5th to 7th of May, 2025, NMIOTC hosted the NATO Enterprise Cybersecurity Conference 2025 at its premises in Marathi, Souda Bay. The conference, titled “Securing the Cyber Frontline” was organized by NATO’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), and brought together staff from NATO Civilian and Military Structures, NATO Organisations and Agencies, as well as NATO Allies’ National Authorities for Cybersecurity and Industry Partners.
