From 2 to 6 of March 2026, the NMIOTC delivered its resident course 12000, C-IED in Maritime Interdiction Operations. The aim of this NATO Approved Course is to train Boarding Team personnel in NATO Tactics, Technics and Procedures (TTPs) in order to able to undertake expedient weapons intelligence tasks on board merchant vessels and other maritime infrastructure, in support of C-IED operations. In total, 10 trainees from 5 countries (Germany, Greece, Malta, Poland, Qatar and Ukraine) attended the course which was delivered by NMIOTC Sea Trainers/Instructors and guest instructors/Subject Matter Experts from FBI, the Hung arian Non Commissioned Officer Academy,

From 16 to 20 February 2026, NMIOTC conducted the Resident Course 30000 “NATO Identity Intelligence Analyst in a Complex Environment”. The aim of the course is to develop NATO analysts who can leverage identity intelligence (I2) to enhance analysis and production in order to inform command decisions in NATO Joint Operations. This I2 Analyst Course is also intended for sharing lessons learned and develop analytical techniques. In total, eight (8) experts from Germany, Hungary, The Netherlands, and USA contributed in the delivery of the course. From 16 to 20 February 2026, the NMIOTC delivered the Resident Course 28000 “Radiological Search in Maritime Environment” utilizing a wide range of the Centre’s training facilities. Twenty four (24) participants and eleven (11) Subject Matter Experts (SME) from eight (8) nations (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, and USA) took part in the course. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), and Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) supported the course with SMEs, equipment and ‘know-how’.
From 16 to 20 February 2026, the NMIOTC hosted the co-located International Tactics Working Group (ITAWG) 2026 and ESSM Requirements Panel (RP) #46 meetings,. The event focused on the development of new missile variants, aiming to update technology, enhance interoperability, and strengthen the 12-nation partnership’s on naval air-defense capabilities.
