On Friday, February 21st, 2025, FLTCM Lateef N. Compton, U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa Fleet Master Chief, visited NMIOTC.
A NATO Allied Command Transformation’s Quality Assurance Team of Experts (ACT QA ToEs) performed an on-site visit to the NMIOTC on 12th and 13th February 2025, in order to assess the Centre’s QA procedures in support of NMIOTC’s Accreditation renewal.
From 10th to 14th of February 2025, an additional iteration of the Resident Course 28000 “Radiological Search in Maritime Environment” was conducted at the NMIOTC premises, utilizing the wide range of the Centre’s training facilities and capabilities.
From 3rd to 7th of February 2025, NMIOTC conducted this year’s 1st iteration of the Resident Course 1000 “Command Team MIO Issues”.
On Wednesday, February 5th, 2025, the new UK Defence Liaison Officer Souda Bay (DLOSB), Commander Thomas Bowler RN, along with the departing Officer, Commander Mark Ballard RN, visited the Centre, in the context of the DLOSB duties’ handover process, for a courtesy call with the Commandant NMIOTC. They were led by the UK Defence Attaché in Athens, Captain Sam Law RN, and Mrs Johanne Harrison, Head of Defence Section at the British Embassy Athens.
