On Friday, May 17th, 2024, the Upgrade Maritime Surveillance (UMS) PESCO Meeting, chaired by Hellenic Navy General Staff, was proudly hosted at the Center’s premises.
From 14th to 16th of May 2024, the Main Planning Conference (MPC) and the Second Training Coordination & Scripting Workshop (2TC&SWC) of the “NORTHERN SPIRIT 24” (NOSP 24) Exercise were held at the Centre’s premises.
From 13th to 20th of May 2024, the 1st – pilot iteration of Cyber Defence Training for Purple Teams (PTs) “Guardian Purple 2024” (GP24), organized by NMIOTC with support from SHAPE J6, took place in virtual training format.
From 13th to 17th of May 2024, the Resident Course 7000 “Maritime Interdiction Operations in Support to Counter Piracy and Armed Robbery at Sea Operations” was conducted at the NMIOTC premises.
From 5th to 10th May 2024, NMIOTC delivered Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) and VBSS/MIO tailored training with a Mobile Education and Training Team (METT) to the participants of Exercise Obangame Express 2024, at the Ghana Western Naval Headquarters in Sekondi, an exercise organized by the U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa (NAVEUR-NAVAF).
On April 24th, 2024, the Commandant of the NATO Maritime Interdiction Operational Training Centre was invited, as a guest lecturer, to the NATO luncheon organized by the Defence Attaché’s Office in Berlin, under the auspices of the Embassy of the Hellenic Republic in Germany.
