CERTIFICATION OF NMIOTC AS “NAEMT AUTHORIZED TRAINING CENTER”

Since December 2018, NMIOTC is recognized as a US National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) Authorized Training Center and is eligible to provide Tactical Combat Casualty Care Courses under its auspices. NMIOTC is the 1st NATO Education and Training Facility (NETF) to receive this certification for integrating efficiently and effectively NAEMT standards and policy to NATO respective environment, while enhancing the Alliance’s and partners standardization and interoperability in terms of offering tactical combat care in the maritime domain. Visit of the Deputy Minister of Defence of Greece

On December 5th, 2018, the Deputy Minister of Defence of Greece, Ms Maria Kollia – Tsaroucha, escorted by the Chief of Hellenic Navy, Vice Admiral Nikolaos Tsounis GRC(N) visited the Centre. During the visit the Deputy Minister was informed about the mission, roles and training capabilities of the Centre.

MULTILATERAL EXERCISE « MEDUSA 7 – ALEXANDROUPOLIS 2018»

From 24th to 26th of November 2018 in the context of the multinational exercise «MEDUSA 7 – ALEXANDROUPOLIS 2018», NMIOTC provided a tailored practical training package to 76 members of SOF teams from the participating Nations (Egypt, Greece, etc) focusing at improving their skills and performance in support of Maritime Security Operations and MIO in particular. RESIDENT PILOT COURSE 21000 “Medical Combat Care in Maritime Operations”

From 05th to 16th of November 2018, the Pilot Course “21000” (Medical Combat Care in Maritime Operations) was conducted at NMIOTC’s premises. The aim of the 1st week was to build evidence-based and life-saving Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) knowledge and practical skills in order to improve survivability on the battlefield, based upon the newest Co – TCCC Guidelines for medical personnel. RESIDENT COURSE 16000 Maritime Aspects of Joint Operations

From 22nd to 26th of October 2018 the Resident Course “16000” was conducted at NMIOTC premises. This “NATO’s Approved” Course objective is to familiarize Staff Officers lacking a sufficient naval operational background, with maritime aspects of NATO Joint Operations. In total, 9 trainees coming from 4 countries (Bulgaria, Greece, Italy and Spain) attended the course.
