RESIDENT PILOT COURSE 21000 “Medical Combat Care in Maritime Operations”

From 05th to 16th of November 2018, the Pilot Course “21000” (Medical Combat Care in Maritime Operations) was conducted at NMIOTC’s premises. The aim of the 1st week was to build evidence-based and life-saving Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) knowledge and practical skills in order to improve survivability on the battlefield, based upon the newest Co – TCCC Guidelines for medical personnel. RESIDENT COURSE 16000 Maritime Aspects of Joint Operations

From 22nd to 26th of October 2018 the Resident Course “16000” was conducted at NMIOTC premises. This “NATO’s Approved” Course objective is to familiarize Staff Officers lacking a sufficient naval operational background, with maritime aspects of NATO Joint Operations. In total, 9 trainees coming from 4 countries (Bulgaria, Greece, Italy and Spain) attended the course.

NMIOTC RESIDENT COURSE “12000” ΜΙΟ in a C-IED (AtN) MARITIME ENVIRONMENT

From 22nd to 26th of October 2018 the Resident Course “12000” was conducted at NMIOTC premises. This “NATO Approved” Course fills an operational gap in capability and, most importantly, contributes to counter-threat operations conducted by Boarding Teams when searching for securing, exploiting evidence or gathering materials for analysis, which are fundamental to the counter-threat process. MARITIME SECURITY COURSE IN KUWAIT

From 7 to 11 October 2018, NMIOTC deployed a Mobile Education and Training Team (NMETT) to the NATO Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (ICI) Regional Center in Kuwait (NIRC). NMIOTC instructors joined by Allied Maritime Command (MARCOM) instructors, delivered a week-long course focusing on Maritime Security. Twenty one participants from ICI Partner and Regional Nations participated in the training. NMIOTC’s 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY CEREMONY

On October 19th 2018, NMIOTC celebrated its tenth year anniversary. The Minister of Defence of the Hellenic Republic, Mr Panos Kammenos escorted by the Chief of Hellenic National Defense General Staff, Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis GRC(N), Chief of Hellenic Navy, Vice Admiral Nikolaos Tsounis GRC(N) and Chief of Hellenic Air force, Major General, Christos Christodoulou GRC(AF), visited the Centre. ACT’s “MARITIME INFORMATION SERVICES CONFERENCE 18”

From 16th to 19th of October 2018, NMIOTC hosted in its premises the Allied Command Transformation (ACT) “Maritime Information Services Conference” (MISC 18). The objective of “MIS Conference” was to discuss, evolve and solve the Maritime Command and Control (C2) information and program development issues, by bringing together the Maritime C2 community (NATO and Nations), through a set of sessions. The conference was attended by 84 participants, coming from NATO HQs and 18 NATO countries (Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, UK, USA and Turkey).
