From 10th to 11th April 2019, the 3rd Conference on “Cyber Security in Maritime Domain” was held at NMIOTC, attended by 147 participants from 24 Allied and Partner nations, International Organizations, the international academic community, representatives from the marine and communication industry and several strategic think tanks. During the in-port phase of the exercise “NOBLE DINA 2019”,from 4th to 7th April, NMIOTC delivered theoretical and practical training on Maritime Interdiction Operations (MIO), to the trainees from participating units of Greece and Israel.

From 25th March to 05th Apr 2019, European Defence Agency (EDA), FRONTEX and NMIOTC jointly organized a tailored training for military and law enforcement personnel, This focused on Migration, Search and Rescue and Crime Scene investigation as well as Legal Issues in Maritime Operations. The objective was to enable participating personnel to improve their knowledge and skills in the above mentioned subjects, to enhance their cooperation and coordination by implementing standard procedures, based on best practices and recognized international standards. In total 24 trainees from EU countries (Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania and Spain attended the course.

From 28th February to 15th March 2019, NMIOTC provided the VBSS Operations Informative Course in favour of EUNAVFOR MED Operation SOPHIA. The duration of this Course was twelve (12) working days and the target audience included military personnel from Libyan(LBY) Navy and Coast Guard.
