From 13th to 15th May 2020 NMIOTC provided a three-day tailored training package to HS HYDRA Boarding, Command and SOF Teams (BT,CT, SOF) in the context of her preparation in the Operation of EUNAVFOR-MED “IRINI”.
On Monday 6th April 2020, a Change of Command was held in NMIOTC. Commodore Stelios Kostalas GRC (N) handed over the Command to Commodore Panagiotis Papanikolaou GRC (N).
In the period of 3-13 March 2020 the Instructor Development Pilot Course was delivered by a NAVSCIATTS Mobile Training Team (MTT) at NMIOTC premises.
Course 1000 “Command Team MIO Issues” was delivered between 9-13 March 2020 by NMIOTC’s instructors.
Οn Monday March 9th 2020, the NMIOTC Commandant, Commodore Stelios Kostalas GRC (N), was invited to the NATO HQs in Brussels and presented to the NATO Military Committee/ Permanent Session (MC/PS) the activities of the Center, under the title “Shaping the Maritime Human Capital through Innovative Education and Training”.
On Tuesday 25th February 2020, the Chief of Hellenic Navy General Staff, Vice Admiral Stylianos Petrakis GRC (N) visited NMIOTC and was informed about the mission, roles and activities of the Centre.
