From 20th to 24th Sep 2021 NMIOTC hosted the Underwater Post Blast Exploitation Course (UPX) administered by the FBI and the US Navy Exploitation Unit 1. The course taught procedures for investigating maritime terrorism incidents. Fourteen (14) EOD Divers from Greece and United Kingdom attended.
On Monday 4th of October 2021, on the occasion of executing iteration of the Course 25000, “Drafting, Production and Maintenance of NATO Standards”, the Director of NATO Standardization Office, Major General Dimitrios Sigoulakis, visited NMIOTC.
From the 06th to 17th of September 2021, the Resident Course “21000” Medical Combat Care in Maritime Operations was conducted at NMIOTC’s premises.
Course 1000 “Command Team MIO Issues” was delivered as a residential course from 27 September to 1 October 2021 by NMIOTC. The objective of the course is to assist Staff Officers and Naval Units’ Command Teams in the efficient application of NATO common standards in the planning and execution of Maritime Interdiction Operations (MIO).
From 29th to 30th September 2021, the 5th Cyber Security Conference in the Maritime Domain was held at NMIOTC, attended by 98 participants from Allied and Partner Nations, International Organizations, the international academic community, representatives from the shipping and IT industry.
