On Saturday 29thof April 2023, the Force Commander of EUNAVFORMED OPERATION IRINI, Rear Admiral Valentino Rinaldi, visited NMIOTC’s premises.
From 20th to 24th of March 2023, the NMIOTC Course “6000”, Weapons of Mass Destruction in Maritime Interdiction Operations (WMD in MIO), was conducted at NMIOTC premises.
From 25th to 26th March 2023 NMIOTC delivered VBSS tailored training with a Mobile Education and Training Team (METT) to the participants of Exercise SEA SHIELD 23 onboard ROS REGELE FERDINAND.
From 6th to 17th March 2023 NMIOTC delivered VBSS tailored training with a Mobile Education and Training Team (METT) to the participants of Exercise CUTLASS EXPRESS 23 in Mombasa, Kenya.
From 13th to 17th of March 2023, the Resident Course 14000 “Maritime Improvised Explosive Device Disposal (M-IEDD)” was conducted at NMIOTC premises.
From 6th to 10th of March 2023, the Resident Course 12000 “C-IED in Maritime Interdiction Operations” was conducted at NMIOTC premises. This “NATO Approved” Course fills an operational gap in capability and contributes to operations conducted by Boarding Teams when searching and exploiting evidence, which are fundamental to the C-IED process.
