On Monday 19th of September 2022, a delegation of Italian Naval Petty Officer 1st year cadets, escorted by Captain Nicola Giannotta, visited NMIOTC on the occasion of the port visit of ITS SAN GIUSTO to Souda. On behalf of the Commandant of NMIOTC, Captain Efstathios Kyriakidis, Director of Staff Operations, welcomed them.
From 29 August to 9 September 2022, a German Navy Boarding Team conducted a tailored training that included theoretical and practical aspects in order to improve trainees’ skills and performance in NATO Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) in Maritime Interdiction Operations (MIO) as well as in Close Quarter Combat (CQC).
From 29 August to 9 September 2022, an Estonian Police and Border Guard Team received a comprehensive tailored training package that included theoretical and practical aspects in order to improve trainees’ skills and performance in NATO Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) in Maritime Interdiction Operations (MIO).
From 5th to 9th of September 2022, the 15th Allied Cryptographic Task Force (ACTF) Meeting, led by Alliance Strategic Command, took place at the NMIOTC premises. It was attended by 70 participants from 21 Allied Nations.
On Wednesday 31st August 2022 the Military Representative of Qatar to NATO, Brigadier General Ali Abdulaziz Al-Mohannadi, escorted by Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Hashemi and Ms. Safia Tazi, visited the NATO Maritime Interdiction Operational Training Center (NMIOTC) premises.
On Tuesday, 19th July 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic, Nikos Dendias, the Deputy Minister of Defence of the Hellenic Republic, Nicholas Hardalias, the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Konstantinos Floros GRC (A) and the U.S. Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic, H.E. George Tsunis visited NMIOTC.
