From 26th February to 7th March 2024, NMIOTC delivered Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) and VBSS tailored training with a Mobile Education and Training Team (METT) to the participants of Exercise ‘CUTLASS EXPRESS 24’ in Mombasa, Kenya, organized by USAFRICOM.
On Thursday, March 24th, 2024, a delegation from the General Directorate of National Defence Policy and International Relations (GDNDPIR), Hellenic Ministry of National Defence, headed by Ambassador a.h. Michel Spinellis, GDNDPIR General Director, and a delegation from the Federal Ministry of Defence of Austria, headed by Dr Arnold Kammel, Secretary General & Defence Policy Director, Austria MoD, visited NMIOTC.
From 11th to 15th March 2024, NMIOTC delivered the Resident Course 10000 “Maritime Interdiction Operations In Support Of Countering Illicit Trafficking At Sea”. Course aim was to enhance participants’ skills in identifying criminal activities regarding illicit trafficking at sea, and to train them on successfully engaging in law enforcement and security practices in the maritime environment.
From 11th to 15th March 2024, the Course 14000 “Maritime Improvised Explosive Devices Disposal (M-IEDD)” was conducted at the Centre’s premises.
On Monday, March 11th, 2024, the Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (SACT), General Philippe Lavigne, visited NMIOTC.
From 4th to 8th of March 2024, the Resident Course 12000 “C-IED in Maritime Interdiction Operations” was conducted at NMIOTC premises. This “NATO Approved” Course fills an operational gap in capability and contributes to operations conducted by Boarding Teams when searching and exploiting evidence, which are fundamental to the C-IED process.
