 On Monday, March 11th, 2024, the Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (SACT), General Philippe Lavigne, visited NMIOTC.

From 4th to 8th of March 2024, the Resident Course 12000 “C-IED in Maritime Interdiction Operations” was conducted at NMIOTC premises. This “NATO Approved” Course fills an operational gap in capability and contributes to operations conducted by Boarding Teams when searching and exploiting evidence, which are fundamental to the C-IED process.

On Friday 8th March 2024, in the presence of the Chief of Staff of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff (HNDGS), Lieutenant General Konstantinos Zolotas (HAF), the handover ceremony of the Command of NMIOTC, from Rear Αdmiral Themistoklis Papadimitriou GRC (N) to Commodore Efstathios Kyriakidis GRC (N), was held at the Centre’s premises.

From 26th February to 1th of March 2024, the 1st iteration of Cyber Defence Training for Blue Teams – “Guardian Blue 2024”, organized by NMIOTC with support from SHAPE J6, took place in a live online training format and it was attended by 43 cyber security professionals from 6 Allied Nations.

On Wednesday, February 28th, 2024, Captain Alex Bush RN, the departing United Kingdom Defence Attaché in Athens, Greece, visited the NMIOTC premises in Marathi, Souda Bay.

On Tuesday, February 27th, 2024, the Commander of the Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group 2 (SNMCMG2), Captain Fotios Paraskevas GRC-N, paid an official visit to NMIOTC.
