From 23 to 26 March 2026, NMIOTC participated in the annual Military Strategic Partnership Conference for 2026 (MSPC 26), as a NATO Education and Training Facility (NETF) and continuum member of Military Strategic Partnership (MSP).The conference was organized and conducted by NATO SHAPE Partnership Directorate (SHAPE PD) and held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIH). MSPC is a hub for exchanging information between NATO and Partners on new developments in Cooperative Security and discussing Partnership programs for future years. From 28 to 29 March 2026, NMIOTC delivered a Visit Board Search and Seizure (VBSS) tailored training with a Mobile Education and Training Team (METT) to the participants of Exercise SEA SHIELD 26, in Constanța, Romania. In total, thirty five (35) participants from Bulgaria, Italy and Romania attended the training.

On Wednesday 1 of April 2026, NMIOTC was honored to welcome Her Excellency the Ambassador of Finland to the Hellenic Republic, Leena Pylvänäinen.   During the visit, she was thoroughly briefed about the Centre’s mission, role and extensive training capabilities, including the recent tailored trainings provided to Finnish Armed Forces.

From 16 to 20 March 2026, the NMIOTC delivered its resident Course 29000 “Detection and Identification of WMD (CBRN Materials) in Maritime Interdiction”. Nine (9) trainees coming from eight (8) NATO and Partner Nations (Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands and USA) attended the course. Subject Matter Experts from the US Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and Naval Criminal Investigative Service supported the course as guest instructors.

From 16 to 20 March 2026, NMIOTC hosted the Initial Planning Conference (IPC) of Exercise Cyber Coalition 2026 (CC26) at its premises in Souda Bay, Crete, Greece. CC26 is a Cyber Defence Exercise designed to exercise the coordination and collaboration within and between NATO and National Cyber Defence Capabilities, military and/or civilian in accordance with national roles and responsibilities. More than 90 attendees attended the conference.

From 16 to 20 March 2026, a Mobile Training Team (MTT) from the NATO Maritime Interdiction Operational Training Centre (NMIOTC) delivered a five-day training course on NATO Standardization in Tbilisi, Georgia, within the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe Partnerships Directorate (SHAPE PD) framework. The Ministry of Defence (MOD) of Georgia hosted the training at the Defence Institution Building School (DIBS) in Tbilisi. In total, twenty-one (21) officials from the Georgian Defence Forces and the MOD participated in the Course.
