Every year, usually within September NMIOTC holds its Annual Cyber Security Conference in Maritime Domain. The aim of the conference is to encourage participation and promotion of collaborative scientific, industrial, naval, maritime and academic inter-workings among individual researchers, practitioners, navy staffs, members of existing associations, academia, shipping companies, standardization bodies, including government departments, international organizations and agencies, public and private sector in general, regarding cyber security in maritime domain and cyber defense operations. We envisage tackling Cyber Security issues in maritime domain in a holistic, comprehensive and effective way.

The aims of 6th NMIOTC Conference on Cyber Security in Maritime Domain was to promote collaborative scientific, industrial, naval, maritime, and academic inter-workings among a wide variety of stakeholders regarding Cyber Security and Cyber Defense Operations in the Maritime Domain. Such stakeholders were individual researchers, practitioners, Navy staff, members of existing associations, academia, shipping companies, standardization bodies, including government departments, international organizations, and agencies, public and private sector in general.
Upon completion, we envisaged tackling Cyber Security issues in the Maritime Domain in a holistic, comprehensive, and effective way and also of increasing awareness and expanding the individual perception of the Maritime community.

5th NMIOTC Cyber Security Conference In the Maritime Domain (29-30 Sep 2021)
The aim of the 5th NMIOTC Cyber Security Conference was to promote collaborative scientific, industrial, naval, maritime, and academic inter-workings among a wide variety of stakeholders regarding Cyber Security and Cyber Defense Operations in the maritime domain, in order to tackle Cyber Security issues in a holistic, comprehensive, and effective way and also increase awareness and expand the individual perception of the maritime community.
Due to the limitation of the premises capacity to host all the intended attendees, while following the COVID-19 restrictions, the event was also broadcasted through GoToWebinar platform.

4th NMIOTC Cyber Security Conference In the Maritime Domain (30 Sep- 1 Oct 2020)
The aim of the 4th NMIOTC Cyber Security Conference was to gather Subject Matter Experts and the whole Community of Interests in order to provide opportunities to deepen and discuss issues related to the emerging cyber threats to the maritime environment. The main scope was to analyze the latest trends in cyber security threats within maritime domain and provide guidance on how to counter this potentially catastrophic 21st century security challenge.
The Conference was conducted also virtually through GoToWebinar platform, the same day and time as the actual event.

3rd NMIOTC Cyber Security Conference In the Maritime Domain (10 – 11 Apr 2019)
The conference had a twofold aim. The first one was to bring all relevant stakeholders to identify and promote collaboration and synergies between NATO and European Union in maritime cyber security and cyber defence. It would serve in better preparation, management and forecast of potential incidents, cyber-attacks, cyber espionage, cyber-crimes and all relevant challenges, using innovative methodologies, advanced technology and tools. The second aim was to identify and address the implications of the recognition of cyberspace in capability development and at operational planning as regards maritime situational awareness, logistics, maritime operations, to name a few.

The aim of the conference was to encourage participation and promotion of collaborative scientific, industrial, naval, maritime and academic inter-workings among individual researchers, practitioners, navy staffs, members of existing associations, academia, shipping companies, standardization bodies, including government departments, international organizations and agencies, public and private sector in general, regarding cyber security in maritime domain and cyber defense operations. We envisaged tackling Cyber Security issues in maritime domain in a holistic, comprehensive and effective way.

The aim of the conference was to gather Subject Matter Experts and interested personnel from the whole Community of Interest in order to provide opportunities to deepen and explore issues related to the current and emerging cyber threats to the maritime environment. The main scope was to analyze the latest trends in cyber security challenges within maritime domain and provide initial considerations on how to counter this potentially catastrophic 21st century security challenges.
