INS Trishul CO & India Defence Attaché Visit NMIOTC

On 2 November 2026, the NATO Maritime Interdiction Operational Training Centre (NMIOTC) had the privilege of welcoming the Commanding Officer of INS Trishul, Captain Charit Kapil IND (N) and the Defence Attaché of India to the Hellenic Republic, Colonel Gaurav Chaudhry IND (A).

The distinguished visitors met with the Commandant of NMIOTC for an office call and discussed matters of mutual interest. They were also briefed on NMIOTC’s mission, training programmes, and overall contribution to the training of Allies and partners as the sole NATO Education and Training Facility (NETF) in the maritime domain.

Meanwhile, crew members of INS Trishul attended briefings on fundamental Maritime Interdiction Operations (MIO) concepts and were given a guided tour of the Centre’s training facilities.
