Course 8000 “C-IED Considerations in Maritime Force Protection”

From 14 to 25 September 2026, the NATO Maritime Interdiction Operational Training Centre delivered its resident Course “C-IED Considerations in Maritime Force Protection”, with the participation of nine (9) trainees from Algeria, Belgium, Colombia, Georgia, Jordan, Italy and Ukraine.

The objective of the course was to educate and train the participants in NATO practices and procedures regarding operational and tactical dimensions of mitigating the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Threat in Maritime Force Protection.

The course was delivered by NMIOTC Instructors in cooperation with augmenters from the Centre of Excellence for Operations in Confined and Shallow Waters (CSW CoE), the Hungarian Army Non-Commissioned Officers’ (HUN NCO) Academy, the Hellenic Police Bomb Disposal Squadron, the Hellenic Army.
