Course 21000 “Medical Combat Care in Maritime Operations”
From 8 to 19 June 2026, the NATO Maritime Interdiction Operational Training Centre conducted the 2026 iteration of its resident Course 21000 “Medical Combat Care in Maritime Operations”, hosting twenty four (24) participants representing Belgium, France, India, Lithuania, Malta, Sweden and USA.
This NATO accredited course is designed to develop and enhance participants’ competencies in delivering pre-hospital emergency medical care, from the point of injury in the mission or theatre with the final transfer to the nearest Medical Treatment Facility.
The course was delivered by the Centre’s Instructors, with valuable contributions from certified NAEMT (National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians) instructors and specialist augmenters with expertise in confined-space extraction and prolonged field care.
