On October 14th 2019 the Ambassadors of Czech Republic, H.E. Jan Bondy, Hungary H.E. Erik Haupt and the Republic of Poland H.E. Anna Barbarzak with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Greece celebrated, at NMIOTC premises, the 20th Anniversary of membership of the aforementioned countries in NATO,.

The Chief of Hellenic National Defense General Staff, General (AF) Christos Christodoulou, was in attendance and among the distinguished guests were the Ambassador of Bulgaria to Greece H.E. Valentin Poriazov, the Ambassador of Lithuania to Greece H.E. Rolandas Kačinskas, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Greece H.E. Sergii Shutenko the Ambassador of the USA in Greece, H.E. Mr Geoffrey Pyatt, the Chargé d’affaires of Azerbaijan Mr Eldar Aliyev, the Chargé d’affaires of Pakistan Mr Yawar Abbas as well as local Allied/National and Military/Civilian authorities.

The flag raising ceremony of the celebrating Nations (Czech Republic, Hungary, Republic of Poland) was followed by a Strategic Think-Tank Debate with the theme: “Building Transatlantic Family – 70 years of NATO, 20 years of membership of the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland”, with participation of distinguished panelists from diplomatic, academic and military field.

During the reception a birthday cake cutting was organized.
