NMIOTC Course 25000 “Drafting, Production & Maintenance of NATO Standards”
From 8 to 12 June 2026, the NATO Maritime Interdiction Operational Training Centre, with support from the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS), the NATO Standardization Office (NSO), the NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) and DEFSTAND. conducted resident Course 25000 “Drafting, Production & Maintenance of NATO Standards”, hosting 30 trainees representing Canada, Colombia, France, Germany, Greece, Norway, Slovenia, Türkiye, Ukraine, UK and the USA.
This NATO accredited course is specifically designed to provide comprehensive knowledge to facilitate understanding of the procedures for development, production and maintenance of NATO standardization documents, including doctrines. The curriculum focused on the fundamental principles of drafting operational and materiel standards, and covered multiple practical examples with thorough contextual explanation. In this context, a live demo on a case study of standardization procedures was carried out at the Hellenic Air Force (HAF) 115 Combat Wing, in Souda Air Base.
The course was delivered by the Centre’s instructors, with valuable contributions from guest Subject Matter Experts representing Germany, Greece, Spain and the UK.
