Training of EUNAVFOR MED IRINI Units
From 3 to 5 June 26, the NMIOTC had the pleasure of welcoming the Operation Commander, Rear Admiral (UH) Marco CASAPIERI and the Force Commander, Rear Admiral (LH) Andrea BIELLI, of EUNAVFOR MED IRINI, on the occasion of the 17th Annual NMIOTC Conference and the Force Assembly of ships participating in FOCOPS EUNAVFOR MED IRINI.
In this regard, from 4 to 5 June 2026, upon request from the OHQ EUNAVFOR MED IRINI, NMIOTC provided Tailored Training to forty nine (49) members of Command Groups and Boarding Teams of HS KANARIS, ITS MOROSINI and ROS REGINA MARIA.
The tailored training focused on enhancing interoperability and cooperation among multinational boarding teams operating together as a single combined unit, and strengthening their operational planning and legal competencies for Maritime Interdiction Operations.
