Course 23000 “Weapons Intelligence Team (WIT) Supplement in the Maritime Environment”

From 18 to 29 May 2026 NMIOTC delivered the Resident Course 23000 “Weapons Intelligence Team (WIT) Supplement in the Maritime Environment”, hosting fifteen (15) trainees from seven (7) Nations (Belgium, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Singapore and USA).

 

This NATO accredited course is specifically designed to enhance the operational knowledge and competencies of military and law enforcement WIT personnel and EOD divers in the field of maritime and underwater technical exploitation in support of Counter-IED operations. The curriculum focused on Level 1 field exploitation and underwater exploitation procedures and incorporated extensive hands-on practical training, covering forensic investigation techniques and underwater evidence collection and exploitation activities.

 

The course was delivered by the Centre’s instructors and ten (10) guest Subject Matter Experts/instructors from the FBI, the US Navy EXU – I, the Hellenic Military Engineering Academy, the Belgian EOD Bataljon DOVO-SEDEE, the French GPD Manche and the Hellenic Navy.
