NMIOTC Acknowledges Prof Medhat’s Recognition of Its Digital Transformation Efforts and Highlights Progress Following Recent Workshop
NMIOTC extends its sincere appreciation to Professor Sam Medhat for prominently recognising the Centre’s Digital Transformation (DT) initiatives in his recent article “From Radar to Algorithms: Re-imagining the Future of Maritime Interdiction.”, in the Journal of UK Parliamentary and Scientific Committee.
NMIOTC recently convened a focused workshop on DT in MIO within a Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) environment, gathering experts from across NATO to inform the Centre’s ongoing 2025–2026 DT Concept Development Plan. The workshop reinforced many of the themes highlighted in Professor Medhat’s article, including the imperative to integrate AI-driven analytics, enhance data fusion, strengthen cyber resilience, and evolve doctrinal and training practices to meet emerging operational demands.
NMIOTC warmly acknowledges Professor Medhat’s ongoing partnership and thought leadership, which significantly enhances the Centre’s ability to support digitally proficient, interoperable, and future-ready NATO maritime forces.
