Course 23000 “Weapons Intelligence Team (WIT) Supplement in the Maritime Environment”
Resident Course 23000 Weapons Intelligence Team (WIT) Supplement in the Maritime Environment was conducted from 19th to 23rd of May 2025 at the NMIOTC premises.
The aim of the course was to educate and train NATO Nations and Partners WIT personnel in NATO Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) to conduct Level 1 – Field Exploitation tasks on board vessels and other maritime infrastructure, as well as in the Underwater Environment, in support of C-IED operations.
In total twenty-one (21) trainees coming from ten (10) countries (Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Greece, Italy, France, Netherlands, Romania, Spain, Sweden) attended the course.
Subject Matter Experts from the FBI’s Explosives Unit and Critical Incident Response Group – Counter IED Section (USA), the Hellenic Military Engineering Academy, the Belgian EOD Bataljon DOVO-SEDEE, the French GPD Manche and the Hellenic Navy Bomb Squad Academy provided support to the course as Instructors and Lecturers.
