Course 27000 “Maritime Sniper Course”
From 5th to 16th May 2025, the NMIOTC Maritime Sniper Course was conducted at the Centre’s premises and in the broader area of Chania, Crete.
During the course, the participants:
- Planed and conducted Sniper Operations in the Maritime Environment.
- Engaged and delivered fire from land to stable and also towed targets at sea.
- Engaged and delivered fire from helicopter to stable and also towed targets at sea.
- Engaged and delivered fire from helicopter to stable target placed on the coastline.
- Engaged and delivered fire from land to land for zeroing day and night.
- Engaged and delivered fire from land to land for penetration.
- Engaged and delivered fire from land to land for Target Acquisition Drill (TAD).
Twenty eight (28) trainees from seven (7) countries (Belgium, Germany, Greece, Jordan, Netherlands, Slovakia and Sweden) and thirteen (13) guest instructors from Germany, Greece, Poland, Slovakia and USA attended the course.
In the 2025 iteration, NMIOTC scaled up it operational capabilities to include multiple types of helicopters and afloat shooting platforms.
